TIPS

If the center core and balance form the lock to athletic ability, then coordination is by far the key to athletic success.  Improve your coordination and overall athletic ability will also improve.

ABS / CENTER CORE:

The center core, which consists primarily of the abdominals, low back, and hip flexors are extremely important for all athletic movement. They help to transfer power from the lower body to the upper body, help stabilize the upper body when the lower body is moving. Allows for the transfer of power and ability to control the body with all throwing and swinging movements. Protects the internal organs, aids with circulation and more.

BALANCE:

Located in every joint, tendon, and muscle in the body are proprioceptors. These sensory organs send information to the brain concerning pressure, movement, body position and more. It is my theory that by improving this particular sensory organ specifically through balance exercises, and athlete will improve overall athletic ability.

COORDINATION:

If the center core and balance form the lock to athletic ability, then coordination is by far the key to athletic success. All movement is coordinated movement requiring numerous muscles and nerves working together in order to perform simple and complex moves. Improve your coordination and overall athletic ability will also improve.
